Where the name comes from
William Gibson described black ice as "king hell ice, black as the grave and slick as glass. Fry your brain soon as look at you." That's what most bot defenses feel like to legitimate users: invisible, hostile, and happy to fire first.
StyloBot is named after Stylo, the dog. He is large, determined, and always gets in the way. The product follows the same idea: stop bad traffic while letting real people through.

Built for real sites
StyloBot is built by mostlylucid limited, a software company with more than 30 years of experience building products and engineering teams across Europe and North America.
It works with .NET and can run beside any web application. You do not need to change how your site works to add protection.
The product includes a deep set of detection checks and controls for teams that need them. You can review decisions, tailor policies, and manage larger deployments when you are ready. None of that is required to get started.
The open-source core is AGPL-3.0 licensed and does not send telemetry or callbacks. It is designed to start up, protect one site, and stay out of your way. Paid plans add live configuration, detailed dashboards, shared access, reporting, fleet management, compliance tools, and support.
